College Academy Internship Program
Posted November 3, 2017
Expires February 1, 2018
We are currently offering a structured unpaid internship program.
The College Academy is an 8-week structured, undergraduate, unpaid internship program. Goals of the program include providing experience within the criminal justice system and raising awareness of the role the District Attorney’s Office has within our community and providing college students to the field of law.
Students must be a current college student (going into their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year in the Fall). There is a very competitive application process; application review, selected interviews, and background check for those selected to participate.
Students must commit to an 8 week program (2 days per week). The first four weeks of the program consist of educational workshops and tours to give students an overall understanding of the criminal justice system. During the second four weeks, students will shadow a deputy district attorney, paralegal, or a victim services advocate thereby gaining hands-on experience in the field in which they are interested. The College Academy is offered in the summer and the program days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
